#11  ... or their own women. Worse actually

#10  It must be acknowledged that, as trustworthy an ally as they’ve been

Alliances with Big Brother for the sake of conveniences and security may never translate to being bridges for cultural divides. Besides, the South Koreans are as bad as India in their behavior with foreign women.

#9  The Koreans sent a corps to fight alongside us in Vietnam.

White Horse

Used less ammo in any engagement,
because they did their killing by hand.

#8  Congratulations to South Korea for having achieved developed nation status, and having the pride and gumption to give up the aids and preferences they received when they were labelled developing.

It must be acknowledged that, as trustworthy an ally as they’ve been, and as delightful are the Koreans and Korean-Americans I personally know, that is still a country with “No Americans allowed” placards in shop windows, where an American student recently came back after a semester at Seoul University with a fully developed hatred of all things Korean because of how she was treated.

#7  The Koreans sent a corps to fight alongside us in Vietnam. They were the second largest contingent in OIF after the UK. They support us in the Horn of Africa anti-piracy operations and the Western Pacific. They have never asked for much recognition for any of these things.

#6  Of all our allies the Koreans by far are the most grateful.
Samsung for example provides all kinds of scholarships and support to descendants of American Korean War veterans.

As opposed to the shitty anti-everything virtue-signaling that we now have to expect from non-Korean corporate weasels across the US Canada and Europe.

#5  Had a friend whose wife's mom was Korean. Many relatives came to the US for her funeral. Some of the finest people I have ever met.

#4  Herb would prefer we have no allies or any projection of power, military or otherwise. Pffft. Tool or Troll. You decide

#3  Herb, ask the tens of thousands of 'war brides' brought back for green cards by American GIs. They love us, long time, short time, all same.

#2  #1 Another "ally" ruthlessly abusing our far too generous policies. With friends like these, who needs enemies?

...Having actually been there, I can tell you that the Koreans are a proud, smart, and tough people who 'abuse' us far, far less than most.
