[WND] From the riffs of outrage coming from the Democrats and their demos over "our democracy" betrayed, infiltrated even destroyed ‐ you'd never know that a rich vein of thinking in opposition to democracy runs through Western intellectual thought, and that those familiar with it would be tempted to say "good riddance."

Voicing opposition to democracy is just not done in politically polite circles, conservative and liberal alike.

For this reason, the Mises Institute's Circle in Seattle, an annual gathering, represented a break from the pack.

That is exactly what the democrats are trying to change. The founders had the right idea, but are now being vilified and their legacies trivialized only to bring about the idiot mobs into power. After that, it's just the House, and the President a figurehead. When they see a single democrat cannot muster the 'charisma' to con all 330 million people, they'll go for true democracy.

#2  By the 22nd century, only police states like China shall have survived. Humanist navel gazers and representative debaters will have given way to federated anarchies. Most western nations will have shariah integrated like in the UK, internecine racial and religious conflicts. All due to what passes for democracy. Separation of powers, paranoiac systems of checks and balances, and the pressure valve called elections to let the people know their suffrage means something.
