2019-10-02
Approximately zero percent probability... or less.

#22  What I've seen today hasn't been very encouraging.

#21  "The current defense strategy of the Trump administration doesn't look very convincing to me at the moment."

Honesty and openness are horrible defense strategies for an innocent man?

#20  Ref #19: It will never get to an impeachment trial in the senate. That would give Trump the ability to subpoena Biden and Co and that is a can of worms for the Dems.

Very interesting (overlooked) assessment PG. Thanks for sending it our way.

#17  ^ Plus Zero's $68 million sweetheart deal to be a "producer" of crap for a crappy tech company that depends on favorable treatment by Washington for its very existence.

#16  So now they are saying that governments are booking blocks of rooms at his hotels, paying for them but not staying there. They are calling it a mystery and a payoff for Trump. Funny no one ever raised an eye about the giant payoffs using book deals. Obama had book after book deal to the tune of tens of million for each book, all while in office. It was a series of payoffs, and no one batted an eye.

#15  tw, the Squad will just see to it that anyone who opposes impeachment will be primaried.

#14  Apparently some Democrats are concerned the impeachment inquiry will harm them more than it will the president.

#13  Democrats have become the party of the astrix. Getting the astrix next to his name that he was impeached has value to them. Same with Kavanaugh.

It's a sign of desperation and total weakness.

#11  EC, that certainly is the Socialists position in this case, pound the table. They've been doing it since Nov 2016.

And I say Socialists, because their behavior and acts show that in the end they plan to have a one party system. About as democratic as the old "Peoples Democratic Republic of..." of Eastern Europe.

#8  “If you’re weak on the facts and strong on the law, pound the law. If you’re weak on the law and strong on the facts, pound the facts. If you’re weak on both, pound the table.”

Currently the Trump administration seems to pound the table a lot. We'll see.

#7  So far EC, there hasn’t been any legitimate impeachment hearings, just a farce. Why are you always so negative.

#6  Impeachment hearings are always dangerous. The current defense strategy of the Trump administration doesn't look very convincing to me at the moment.

#5  I have said the President should sue Congress for excessive harassment.

Giuliani tonight on Fox said he is going to do just that.

Congress critters can say anything they want to on the House floor. But when they slander the President and attempt to obstruct the President or anyone else in an excessive manner, away from the floor, they can and should be brought before a civil court.

He seemed to say that as Trump's personal attorney he is going to do just that to certain individuals.

#4  EC, impeachment is a complete farce in this case. It has such a weak foundation that the Democrats pushing it are not even using the term "impeachment"; they're now using a BS term, calling it an impeachment inquiry.
It's a complete joke, and it's already started to unravel.
Posted by: Lex   2019-10-02 04:07

#3  The question should rather be: Before completion of a Senate trial. It's obvious that the House will impeach no matter what.

#2  Slim to none.

And Slim has left town.
