| h/t Instapundit A blogger couple who traveled from Australia to Asia and the Middle East in an attempt to "break the stigma" surrounding developing countries was reportedly arrested in Iran. The duo were recently identified as Jolie King and Mark Firkin, the BBC reported on Thursday. Although the couple was arrested 10 weeks ago near Tehran, it wasn’t until Wednesday that the news became known. Stupidity is not a crime, but it is a capital offense - old Russian saying

| #3 Iranian local news : Tehran - A spy ring composed of one man and an overexposed woman were detained by authorities. Australian agencies attempting to show Iran in a bad light seem to have inserted the team, posing as an indecent, selfie snapping couple. Items confiscated from them included plastic cases full of dung beetles, expensive bottled water, foreign beer cans with lewd kangaroo pictures, cameras and chewing gum. Reportedly, their aim was to depict Iran as a 'tourist destination', lax on discipline and total sissies like their own governments. /sarc |
