commander during a clash in northern Faryab province of Afghanistan, the Afghan military said Wednesday.
The 209th Shaheen Corps of the Afghan Military said in a statement that the security forces killed Qari Asif alias Abbas, one of the local commanders of Taliban in Faryab.
The statement further added that the security forces killed Qari Asif during a clash in Khwaja Sabz Posh district of Faryab.
Furthermore, the 209th Shaheen Corps said the security forces also killed one of the comrades of Qari Asif and maimed 5 others during the clash.
