Saudi Arabia can destroy Iran in 8 hours: Saudi prince
2019-09-06
[ALMASDARNEWS] A Saudi prince posted on Twitter Thursday that Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
’s military could destroy Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan, the abbreviation IRGC is a cognate form of Stürmabteilung (or SA), the term Supreme Guide is a cognate form of either Shah or Führer or maybe both, and they hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
in eight hours if they wanted to.
So why don't they do that in Yemen?
Prince Abdullah bin Sultan bin Nasser al-Saud tweeted a video on Thursday that showed some of the Gulf kingdom’s F-15 warplanes in comparison to Iran’s F-4 Phantom jets.

In quotations, the prince tweeted, "Saudi Arabia can destroy #Iran in 8 hours", he would later add, "What is hidden is greater. There is no force in the world that can stand up to our unity, our resolve, our renaissance and thank God."

#6  Many years ago it was said the Saudi Armed Forces where only as good as the Pakistani's they hired.

Hard for Pakistanis to take power in a coup. I have little doubt Saudis could carry out this function. Problem is - people competent enough to do it are also competent enough to overthrow the king. The king would be thrilled if he could trust his officers not to mount a coup the way Western leaders routinely trust their military men.

But non-Western soldiers aren't wired like Westerners - they are, first and foremost, entrepreneurs agnostic as to whether the existing regime should stay in power, especially when that conflicts with their personal ambitions. Note that Western soldiers weren't always this docile. Roman soldiers routinely went after their rulers. And Alexander's men obviously killed his entire family after he died (perhaps from being poisoned). I think a lot of the analysis of Third World armies leaves out a key element - internal power politics, the struggle for power within where ideology difference is just a fig leaf for opposing parochial interests.
