The military officials said Tuesday that the security forces conducted the airstrikes in Pachir Wa Agam district of Nangarhar.
The sources further added that the airstrike killed six faceless myrmidons of the terror group.
The ISIS sympathizers have not commented regarding the airstrike so far.
University Lecturer Killed In Nangarhar Blast

A university lecturer in Nangarhar, Massoud Nekbakht, was killed in an embedded IED kaboom in the city of Jalalabad on Tuesday, the provincial governor’s front man Attaullah Khogyani said.
Nekbakht was head of the Literature Faculty of Nangarhar University.
Mr. Khogyani said that three others were maimed in the blast.
He said that the earth-shattering kaboom targeted Nekbakht’s vehicle.
Nekbakht was the nephew of a well-known former Jihadi leader Mawlawi Khalis, Mr. Khogyani said.
