I wonder, however, about the military. The regular military probably is not interested in apocalypse. The IRGC may be interested in apocalypse but they also have commercial interests.

Finally, the various external deployments have resulted in a steady stream of fatalities. Almost certainly the general population is anti apocalypse (even anti regime). The IRGC is probably trending this way also.
