At least four non-combatants were killed and 25 more maimed as a result of an IED explosion in the western city of Herat on Monday evening, the provincial police said.
The IED was embedded to a cycle of violence
and exploded in Haji Abbas vicinity in police district 12 (PD12) of the city. "The corpse count may rise," said Farzad Frotan, acting head of the media department of Herat Police Headquarters.
Majority of the victims are local business owners, he said.
