2019-07-09 |
[MAIL] All four suspects wanted in connection with the killing of a Georgia sheriff's deputy have now been captured. An intense manhunt had been ongoing for much of Monday until mid-afternoon, when the Hall County Sheriff's Office announced all suspects were in custody. Hall County Sheriff Gerald Couch said one of the four - 19-year-old Hector Garcia Solis - is suspected of firing the shot that killed Deputy Nicolas Dixon late Sunday night in Gainesville. Hall County Sheriff Gerald Crouch said the 28 year-old Dixon was a married father of two young children and had been with the department for three years. He was mortally wounded at around 11pm Sunday night when a bullet pierced his body below his tactical vest as he exchanged fire with the suspects on Sunday night. Patrol deputies spotted the suspects driving a stolen car, believed to have been used in several car break-ins and house burglaries over the weekend, and gave chase. |
