'I don't know how much longer I have, I'm f***ing ready': Army vet, 22, posted photos of ammunition and warned of an approaching 'storm' on Facebook before he was shot dead by police when he 'opened fire outside Dallas federal courthouse'
2019-06-18
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • Brian Issack Clyde, 22, was fatally shot after exchanging gunfire with federal officers outside the Earle Cabell Federal Building in Dallas

  • Police said no one else was injured in the 8.50am encounter on Monday

  • Dallas Morning News photographer Tom Fox said he saw the shooter, wearing a black mask open fire, cracking the glass in the courthouse door

  • Video shows Clyde in a black mask carrying a gun running from the sidewalk near the courthouse to a parking lot across the street

  • Clyde reportedly served in the US military for less than two years before he was discharged, and came from a military family

  • In recent weeks, Clyde's Facebook postings have grown increasingly dark and disturbing

  • He posted pictures of weapons and ammunition, and in a dark post on June 9 he warned that a 'f**king storm was coming'

  • FBI, ATF, FPS, U.S. Marshals and the Dallas Police Department are investigating

#12  Indeed. A federal courthouse in Texas... I can't imagine anything less than a whole strike force getting in there, and nobody would get out. I wonder if he ever really "meant" to kill anybody at some basic level as opposed to trying to off himself without pulling the trigger.

#11  That's how I read it. Tortured soul seeking to go out. Yet for his final act, he seeks out not only a hard target but perhaps the most hardened target of all.

In any case, I'm glad it didn't hurt anybody.

#7  Everyone in the building will be proud of them though. Those guys did good.

#6  The half dozen armed guys at the doors running the metal detector machines are almost always 100% African American middle aged guys who probably never thought theyed get to shoot their guns. They are serious about making sure nothing gets past the medal detecting conveyors. A lot of people come through. IRS Customer Service, Social Security Customer Service, Federal Courts are in there and the US Marshal Servïce.

I am going to dread going back in there again. Those middle aged armed metal detector guys are going to be extra coky now that they finaĺly got to shoot someone.

#5  Also this attacker was totally stupid in target selection. Each entrance has 6 armed feds standing behind a huge metal detecting apparatus larger than the ones at the airports. That allows for them plenty of protective cover to return fire immediately without having to retreat to cover. I am sure all 6 spayed his ass good.
In the video from the reporter caught in the action you here the responding cops trying to stop the guys leaks as he lay in the parking ĺot say, "There is another one?"

#4  On the front page of the Dallas News, but I couldn't find their article online. A number of articles on-line look like they have identical lead paragraphs.

Unexpectedly.

#3  Armed with an AR yet inflicted no casualties. Taken out by pistols. Remember that when gun grabbers go after ARs.

#1  So, plenty of warnings online. They can decide who is engaging in "hate speech" but they couldn't clue the cops about this guy? Color me stone cold skeptical. OTOH, they are all in favor of "red flag laws" where almost anybody can tell a judge you are a dangerous person who needs his / her rights summarily taken away without due process. Got it...
