Thousands of protesters are expected to demonstrate during the three-day visit, the Times reported Saturday. The protests can't really be taken as a symptom of actual indignation, since people will turn out to protest anything. But if they should actually harm Trump, which some of them would just adore doing for the attention it brings, they would make him into a martyr.
Use of snipers, bomb-sniffing dogs and helicopters was among the tactics to confront the more than 250,000 protesters that are expected to show up. In his first state visit to Britannia, the US president acknowledged that he felt "unwelcome," asserting that he "used to love London as a city." Trump’s upcoming visit is expected to be a similar experience for Trump with massive protest plans under way. | |
