The Packers announced the death of the legendary quarterback on Sunday morning. #8 SPOD, I know what you mean....As a teen in the '60's I was a Unitas fan but I had to respect Starr and the Packers. |

#6 I used to loathe Bart Starr as a Cowboys fan, but I have to say that after reading about him in several books, including the great Jerry Kramer book about St. Vince the Lombardi, I came to realize what a great human being he was. Truly, he was all the best of what humanity has to offer in a person. God's blessings on Bart, and may Jesus give you a special seat in Heaven. |

#4 Even though I grew up rooting for the 49ers, I always enjoyed seeing the Packers play. Bart Starr, Paul Hornung, Ray Nitschke, and others I've forgotten. A truly great team! |

#1 Nice guy and an athlete role model kids could actually look up to. Had lunch with his wife Cherry and him at a function in the mid 2000's. They were involved with an outreach program we shared in common, Rawhide Boy's Ranch. Very friendly, gracious and with a good sense of humor. He will be greatly missed. |
