#2  Skid, thank for reminding me of how insignificant my life has become... HAHA!! Guess that's why we drink, from a can as of lately... I went to the 50th at Normandy. Met the Army Captain that ran one of the first US breaches of the beach. Introduced him to the gunner he captured. He was a bit overwhelmed with being there and said the guy he captured was a kid and this guy is an old man. When the guy explained that the CPT gave him a candy bar, because he had not eaten in days, the CPT came back to the 90's and it got very emotional. I have walked dozens of battlefields and at Normandy beach, St Mere and Corregidor you can still smell and feel the desperation. Its emotionally draining... For all military historians, its a must visit...

#1  God and country loves the 82d. Most everyone else fears them or will learn to fear them....
