[Babylon Bee] WASHINGTON, D.C.‐After a long day in the office Monday, congressional representative Rashida Tlaib reportedly popped a bag of popcorn, settled back into her chair, and watched her favorite heartwarming concentration camp scenes from Steven Spielberg's classic film Schindler's List."This scene where this Jewish girl gets shot in cold blood---it just provides me with a really great calming feeling," she said, according to frightened aides, as she leaned back and took in her favorite scene in the movie. "A real, enormous sense of peace and tranquility."
"I mean, of course, because my ancestors provided a place the Jews could settle," she quickly added. "I definitely don't mean the Holocaust itself is calming. But still, when I think about it, I just feel these waves of serenity breaking over me like a summer storm."
Rep. Tlaib then sighed contentedly as she set the film to play the scene in repeat for the next several hours.
