[Red State] Do you ache for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue the way the high-waisted yellow guy hankers for a hunka cheese? Do you lie in wait in a creepy way at the supermarket, just waitin’ to get your sneaky mitts on the skimpy rag as soon as it slaps against the metal rack?

Well, this year, you’re gettin’ more for your money. Dig it ‐ it’s heavy.

In October, the UK pulled TV ads because it deemed the model too slim (here). Nobody’ll have that gripe with SI newcomer Hunter McGrady.

Hunter’s the magazine’s brand spankin’ new "obese" model. And why? Because "Exposure to diversity is the catalyst that will ignite tolerance, acceptance and understanding":

#18  SI has already ordered industrial-strength magazine racks to properly support this issue. No word from Nebraska or Iowa about flood-damaged road weight limits for the area distributors.

#17  Hunter McGrady (the actual SI model) looks different depending on the year. Only about 6 years ago she weighed 120# which is pretty unhealthy for someone who is almost 6 feet tall.

Recently she weighed about 220# which may also be unhealthy but in the other direction. I'm guessing she will be below 200 for the wedding.

Her marriage is scheduled for June this year.

#7  I've always thought that WI models, by and large, would look better with a few extra pounds.

This is ridiculous.

#6  Why don't thinking people just boycott such products and publications ? This and Gillette and so much of this PC shit forced on us by these state pandering corporate rascals and pressure group loonies ?

This actually insults so many people apart from readers; including sportspersons, healthcare pros, trainers and models - people who work hard to achieve beautiful physiques, only to be shat upon by ugly people with ugly ideas.
