GA Gov On Heartbeat Bill: 'I Don't Care What Hollywood Thinks'
2019-05-07
[Think Americana] Wow, I am proud to say that I am from the great Peach State! Georgia Governor Brian Kemp has all but told Hollywood to shove their liberal opinions where the sun don’t shine.

On Tuesday, he is set to sign the "heartbeat" bill, or the H.B. 481 bill, which means a woman cannot legally get an abortion after a heartbeat is detected. This will save THOUSANDS, if not millions, of lives since the heartbeat is detectable between five to six weeks of life.

Hollywood has signed petitions and threatened to boycott filming in Georgia if the Governor signs the bill. However, he said that he is not worried about that in the slightest.

"I can’t govern because I’m worried about what someone in Hollywood thinks about me. I ran the last two years on these issues, and I got elected with the largest number of votes in the history of the state of Georgia," Kemp said.

He added, "I’m doing what I told people I would do ... Our business environment’s good. We cannot change our values of who we are for money. And we’re not going to do that. That’s what makes our state great."

"I do not think it will hurt the film industry in Georgia or any other business whatsoever," Kemp continued, "Us sticking up for our Georgia values and protecting life is not going to protect a bad business environment in Georgia, I can promise you."

Planned Parenthood’s Staci Fox retorted that they are "coming for" Kemp for this. She threatened, "We warned them ‐ we will see you in court, Governor Kemp. And we are coming for their seats."

#5  I'm hoping for some production company to film in Georgia

As far as I am concerned Pinewood Studios and all the rest can move back to where they came from. They've only brought in liberals and communists.

#3  I'm hoping for some production company to film in Georgia for the tax breaks only to get into a big brew-ha-ha with an actor over filming there:
It was in the contract and you signed
I wasn't woke then!

#2  We cannot change our values of who we are for money.

That is directly contradictory to the "principles" of the Left, Hollywood and Democrats, pardon the redundancy.

#1  I doubt that this will stand up in court.

This is because of the 'undue burden' standard established by Casey v Planned Parenthood
