Informed military sources said Monday that the weapons and explosives were destroyed in Tarin Kot city, the quiet provincial capital of Uruzgan province.
"Afghan Special Forces conducted an operation in Tarin Kot district of Uruzgan province and destroyed a large IED and weapons cache which included 16 pressure plate IEDs, 2 boom jackets, 12 rockets with boosters and 161 DShk machine guns," the sources added.
