In the meantime, the 203rd Thunder Corps in a statement said the Afghan ground forces had also participated in the operations in Chak district.
The statement further added that 17 Talibs were killed and 11 others were maimed during the same operations.

Maidan Wardak is among the relatively volatile provinces in central parts of Afghanistan where Talibs have active presence in some of its districts and often attempt to carry out terrorist related activities against the government and security institutions.
