The sources further added that 2 boom jackets, 15 pressure plate IEDs, 100 pounds of homemade explosives and a small weapons cache were destroyed.
Additionally, a house-borne IED was destroyed by an air strike, the sources added.
The anti-government armed bully boy groups including Taliban have not commented regarding the operation so far.
Kunduz is among the relatively volatile provinces in North of Afghanistan. Talibs are active in some of its remote districts and often attempt to attack government and security institutions.
