[ALMASDARNEWS] A commander from the Ottoman Turkish-backed rebel forces was recently killed in an ambush by the Kurdish-led Afrin Liberation Forces in the northwestern region of Aleppo.

According to reports, the commander of the Sultan Murad Brigade, Anwar al-Hussein, was killed when a bomb planted inside a cycle of violence exploded near the village of Mashal in the Afrin region of Aleppo.

Al-Hussein was considered 2nd in-command to the leader of the Sultan Murad Brigade Ahmad Uthman.
