| Bomb targeting police patrol hurts six in Thai south |

| [Bangkok Post] Three police officers providing protection for teachers and three local residents were injured when a bomb detonated in Yala province on Friday morning. The explosion in Krong Pinang district was reported about 8:25am. Police spokesman Pongsak Khaonuan said the blast wounded three policemen, and three civilians - a man, a woman and a young girl. Police and army rangers were dispatched to secure the scene. Authorities blamed insurgents. |
