Bishop: Diocese of Covington felt 'bullied and pressured' into condemning students too quickly
2019-01-26
[10 News]"It's not my fault! We were pressured and you were too easy to throw to the wolves! Mea Culpa!" Coward. I'm a Catholic and I demand you Resign. You are unfit.

#17  The Bishops kept quiet for decades on child abuse but could not keep quiet for 40 minutes.

#16  A righteous church would contribute to Nick Sandmann's legal fund. The bishop was too weak and foolish to understand that he too is under attack from the same people who attacked Nick. He criticized the MAGA hats as symbols of racism without any evidence that Trump is a racist. At the same time he forgot that Trump is pro-life. Is the bishop pro-life?

#15   The church is weak and bends to pressure.

Bends forward.

#11  The congregation will take care of Bishop Foys. He is probably looking for a new job assignment now.

#10  Did the Bishop hear a rooster crow yet?(*)

(*)The students aren't Jesus, but the Church's treatment of the students was a denial of basic principles like justice, a minimal commitment to factual truth and the school's obligation to act as a guardian of these minors.

#9  When was did the church allow itself to be "Bullied and Pressured?" My Bishop when I was growing up would have laughed in their faces.

#8  The Cathoilic Church is an empty shell. The Bishop is just the current example.

#4  Found as a comment at Instapundit:
These kids will never get a fair shake in traditional life paths from here on out. They are never going to be allowed to be normal.

The least they could do is win enough money so they can eat for the rest of their lives.

#3   Interesting tweet about the bishop from a lawyer:

Last night, Todd McMurtry @FitLwyr and I delivered a preservation of evidence demand to Bishop Foys. This afternoon, he belatedly apologized to Nick by letter. Good first step but more is necessary in order to fully remedy the damage caused by his libelous statements.

#2  Nicholas Sandmann is still standing alone in the arena. The crowd is still cheering. They are not cheering for him.
