[SG.NEWS.YAHOO] Gavin Newsom (D) took office as Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,’s new governor on Monday, vowing during his swearing-in ceremony to be hard on President Donald Trump

"Here in California, we will prove that people of good faith and firm will can still come together to achieve big things," said Newsom, who handily defeated Republican challenger John Cox. "We will offer an alternative to the corruption and incompetence in the White House. Our government will be progressive, principled, and always on the side of the people."

#14  California has been playing musical chairs for awhile. Best that a Democrat gets left without a seat when the Pension crisis hits so they can't blame Republicans for their decade of overspending and pretending all is well.

#12  Congrats - been eyeing Gardnerville/Minden if I retire out of CA. Nice community, Sierras/Tahoe adjacent, and close enough to Reno should medical needs arise

#11  Escrow closes on new house in Gardenerville, NV next week. Its costing me tens of thousands to get out of CA but it has finally gotten so oppressive here that I am getting out after decades. Great weather and scenery cannot offset the Cost of living and political climate. Just hope some PC idiot buys my house in El Dorado Hills for the current market values.

#9  Why does Newsom have a h$#d-on for Trump? Is he a Trump-hater?

Perhaps this might have something to do with it.

#8  Why does Newsom have a h$#d-on for Trump? Is he a Trump-hater?

Is Newsom like Moonbeam and have an agenda to take California further down the dumper?

U.S. federal tax dollars go to California for extensive boondoggle programs and thus we all pay for their bad decisions. Maybe Trump should stop the flow of federal $s.

#4  When Gov Moonbeam is, by comparison, the voice of reason and logic, you know it's all over.

Then why are so many people leaving? Sounds of the old 'Peoples Democratic Republic of..', which were also one party states.
