Black Panther 'hero' terrorist Mumia Abu Jamal to get new appeal |
2019-01-03 |
[NYPost] Ex-Black Panther Abu-Jamal, nee Wesley Cook, shot then-25-year-old Officer Daniel Faulkner in the back and face during a Philadelphia traffic stop. Ballistics confirmed Faulkner was killed (in 1981) with Abu-Jamal's gun. Three eyewitnesses identified him as the killer. For years, he denied having committed the crime. Yet the left glorified him as a political prisoner and victim of a racist judicial system. NPR made him an on-air commentator; college campuses invited him to speak via remote. Celebrities marched for him. (The new AG of Minnesota, Keith Ellison is a fan boy of Mumia) His life was spared after winning an appeal over flawed jury instructions; (in 2011) he was re sentenced to life without parole. Now, six years after the court nixed another appeal, Common Pleas Judge Leon Tucker has ordered that court to reconsider. |
