| Terrorist attack targets power transmission line in Iraq |

| Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) ‐ Unidentified button men have blown up a high voltage pylon in al-Nahrawan neighborhood, southeast of Baghdad, causing a power outage there, the Electricity Ministry said on Monday. "A high-voltage power transmission line in al-Nahrawan neighborhood has been out of service due to a terrorist attack," Shafaq News quoted the ministry as saying in a statement, clarifying that unidentified button men planted a bomb under a pylon, causing a malfunction in the engines of the Kasibah power plant. Electricity engineers have rushed to the site of the kaboom in order to carry out essential maintenance work and bring the damaged pylon back to service, the statement added.
