three suspected members of the banned Death Eater outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Rangpur and Lalmonirhat districts.
The detainees were identified as- Md Shah Alam, son of one (late) Alauddin Munshi, Md Sohel Rana, son of (late) Nur Islam and Md Mansur Rahman, son of Asadul Islam.
RAB members also seized huge amount of Jihadi books and leaflets from their possession.
RAB-13 Assistant Director Ahsan Habib said, being tipped-off, a RAB team picked up Shah Alam and Sohel after conducting a drive in Patgram upazila of Lalmonihat on Monday night (December 24).
Another JMB suspect Mansur was picked up in a separate drive in Gangachara upazila of Rangpur, he said.
In the preliminary investigation, the detainees confessed their involvement with JMB and that they were planning for subversive activities ahead of the 11th general election, the RAB official added.
