| Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) ‐ The U.S. administration has officially informed the Iraqi government that it would withdraw its combat forces from the Syrian territories, Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi said on Monday. "U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo officially informed the (Iraqi) government that the American troops would withdraw from Syria and the support provided for Iraq would continue," Arabic-language Almaalomah news website quoted Abdul Mahdi as saying at the weekly presser. "The Iraqi government is fully ready to deal with the repercussions of the U.S. troops withdrawal from Syria," he said, adding that Iraq has strong relations with all neighboring countries and with the majority of powers in Syria.
