[Law.com Daily Report] U.S. District Judge Amy Totenberg ordered Georgia's new secretary of state to direct all Georgia counties with more than 100 provisional ballots, including 92 counties that have already certified their results, to "engage in a good faith review" of the eligibility of the voters who cast them. The order could expand the pool of valid ballots that remain to be counted by thousands. She also postponed certification of the midterm election results until as late as Nov. 20 and no earlier than Friday. Wiki: Born in New York, New York, she is the daughter of Melanie (Shroder) and Polish-born violinist Roman Totenberg. Totenberg earned an Artium Baccalaureus, magna cum laude, in 1974 from Harvard-Radcliffe College and a Juris Doctor in 1977 from Harvard Law School. |
