Khashoggi crisis may tip Middle East power balance towards Turkey |
2018-11-04 |
[PULSE.NG] The murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi could alter the power dynamic in the Middle East by strengthening ...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund.... 's influence at Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... 's expense as they compete for leadership of the Islamic world, analysts say. |

#2 May... or may not. And Turkey can’t affird to carry the cost of leadership, such as it is, that the Saudis have been carrying. Granted, the Saudis soon won’t be able to afford it either, I suspect, nor Iran in the face of American intransigence, but those are different questions. |
