| [Universal Hub] - The US Attorney's office reports that Elmer Alfaro Hercules, 20, pleaded guilty yesterday to one count of being an illegal alien in possession of firearms and ammunition. Hercules and alleged MS-13 member Nery Rodriguez Diaz were arrested in the Bremen Street Park, near Marion Street, on May 22. Diaz has yet to either plead or come to trial. Hercules, a Salvadoran national, had sentencing set for Jan. 17 by US District Court Judge F. Dennis Saylor, who has been handling MS-13 cases related to a 2016 sweep. Hercules faces up to ten years in federal prison. In 2015, a federal judge ordered Hercules's deportation - in absentia. |
