| Bomb blast leaves civilian seriously injured in Baghdad: Interior Ministry |

| Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A civilian has been seriously wounded in a bomb blast in the capital Baghdad, the Iraqi Security Media Center said on Thursday. In a statement, the center quoted Maj. Gen. Saad Maan, spokesperson for the Interior Ministry, as saying that “a bomb went off in Baghdad al-Jadida region, leaving a civilian profoundly injured.” The region witnesses high number of visitors heading to Karbala province for the religious visit to commemorate the 40-day mourning period for the 7th century death of Imam Hussein, grandson of the Prophet Mohamed. |
