Russia says it provided Syria with 24 advanced S-300 launchers for free |
2018-10-09 |
"On October 1, three battalion sets of S-300PM systems of eight launchers each were delivered to Syria," a military source told the agency. "These systems were previously deployed at one of the Russian aerospace forces’ regiments which now uses the S-400 Triumf systems. The S-300 systems underwent capital repairs at Russian defense enterprises, are in good condition and are capable of performing combat tasks," he said. The source added that the systems were provided free of charge, along with 100 surface-to-air guided missiles for each battalion, 300 in all. |

#12 I can just picture Vlad grinning and saying, "They may have been free of charge, Hafez...but there's always a price." Mike |

#4 Seems interesting to me that now Russia is giving them to Syria. After the US and Israel have been bombing the place with impunity. And with Israel posting video of them taking out a short range SAM that is supposed to shoot down missiles too.... I think the foreign orders for Russian anti-air missiles are tanking and they need to prove it does work. |

#1 Aside from the obvious electronic signatures, very large and difficult to hide. Target folders are likely updated in the morning and again in the late afternoon. |
