| Pakistani national among 7 arrested on charges of arms smuggle Monday |

Mohamamd Ayoub Hussain Khel said the suspects were arrested during an operation in Dur Baba district. Gen. Hussain Khel further added that the men were arrested from Zhamgori area of Dur Baba district. He said the Afghan forces have confiscated 305 ammunition magazines of Ak-47, and spares of PKM machine and M-16 rifles. According to Gen. Hussain Khel the detained individuals were attempting to smuggle the ammunition magazines and weapons spares from Dur Baba district. He also added that the detained individuals have confessed regarding their involvement in the smuggle of weapons and munitions. Nangarhar has been among the relatively calm provinces but the security situation of the province has tanked comparatively during the recent years.
