| Most wanted PKK member killed by Turkish forces in northern Iraq |

| [AlMasdar] (9:30 A.M.) – A high ranking member of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) was reportedly killed by the Turkish Armed Forces in northern Iraq this past weekend. According to the Turkish Army media account, their air force killed Murat Akdogan (AKA Ali Gever) in an airstrike over the Avasin-Basyan region of Iraq. Akdogan was in the orange category of Turkey’s most wanted terrorist list before his death on Friday. The PKK currently has a large presence in the northern region of Iraq; this has prompted the Turkish Armed Forces to carry out several military operations near their border. |
