| Two major Syrian Army divisions head toward Hama for upcoming offensive |

| [AlMasdar] Earlier today, the Syrian Arab Army continued their military buildup in northwestern Syria by sending more reinforcements to the Hama and Idlib governorates. Units from the 1st Division of the Syrian Arab army made their way from southern Syria to the province of Hama, where they met up with other pro-government forces. The 1st Division, which was primarily deployed in the southerns provinces of Damascus and Daraa, will be taking part in their first offensive in northern Syria. In addition to the 1st Divison, the elite Fifth Army Corps has also sent their troops to northwestern Syria. These two large Syrian Army forces comprise of thousands of battle tested soldiers that have taken part in many battles from Syria. In the coming days, the Syrian Arab army is expected to kick off their long-awaited offensive against the jihadist rebels in northern Syria. |
