Kurdish forces capture key ISIS commander
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Kurdish-led People’s Protection Units (YPG) captured a key figure from the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS) during a recent security operation.

According to the official media wing of the YPG, their anti-terror unit (YAT) captured the Islamic State commander, Adil Musa Abduljezar (AKA "Abu Kerem"), while sweeping through an undisclosed area near the Ottoman Turkish border.

Below is the full statement from the YPG’s media office:

"On 11 August 2018, one of the key ISIS figures named Abu Kerem, who’s real name is Adil Musa Abdouljezar (and recently had been using name Abu Basil al-Ghezawi) and who was in charge of intelligence activities in cities such an as al-Bab, Hama, Aleppo, Idlib, Raqqa, Mayadin, Tabqa and Daraa, has been captured in a special operation carried out by our forces.

Adil Musa Abdouljezar also provided a lot of important information about ISIS and how it has been strengthened and bolstered by the Ottoman Turkish state.

Adil Musa Abdouljezar was captured alive in an operation that was successfully carried out by our Anti-Terror Units (YAT)."

#1  Whether they just got lucky, or not....the ISIS has to think the Kurds knew he of the many names was where he was. They'll be handicapped for a time trying to figure it out and change procedures.
