Dutch police shoot suspect after he stabs two people at an Amsterdam train station
2018-09-01
[DAWN] Police in the Dutch capital shot and maimed a suspect Friday following a stabbing at Amsterdam's busy central railway station.

Amsterdam police said in a series of tweets that two people were maimed in the stabbing and the suspect was then shot by officers. All three people were taken to a hospital.

Police said the motive for the stabbing was under investigation and "all possible scenarios are being kept open." Police said that two platforms were closed to train traffic, but the station wasn't evacuated.

Trams to and from the square in front of the station were stopped as police and emergency services converged on the area. Red and white police tape kept members of the public away from the scene.

Central Station is a busy entry and exit point for visitors to the Dutch capital, with regular trains linking it to the city's Schiphol Airport.

Friday is one of the busiest days of the week, with many tourists arriving for the weekend.

#9  how does that work exactly?

According to the "Dublin rules" asylum seekers whose applications are supposed to processed in another EU country have to deported to that country with 6 months. If that doesn't happen the responsibility shifts.

There's no real need to go into these details actually. We're dealing with legal Calvinball.

The rules are made up or ignored as necessary. Apparently the goal is flooding Europe with hostile military age males from the Islamic world.

Nuts!

#7  and returned to Germany after the German deportation order had expired.

I admit I'm unfamiliar with German bureaucracy, but how does that work exactly? To say "We were unable to boot him out by Thursday, so let's just forget the whole thing" seems a bit untidy and not at all Germanic.

#5  Addendum:
A German MP from Merkel's party told the press that the Chemnitz suspect had acquired two identities. (link in German)

Information about the Amsterdam stabber's identity shouldn't be treated as factual for the time being.

#4  One of the subjects in the Chemnitz murder that triggered the demonstrations fled to the Netherlands to avoid deportation from Germany.

He illegaly applied for asylum in the Netherlands (after applying in Bulgaria and Germany) and returned to Germany after the German deportation order had expired. (link in German)

The actual flooding of Germany and by extension Europe with hostile men of military age works reliably. Everything else is just pretend; smoke and mirrors.

A Trump tweet drawing the public's attention to this fact wouldn't hurt.

#3  An Afghan man with German residency. What was he doing in Amsterdam stabbing foreigners, pray tell, when he could have more easily stabbed local Germans — or foreigners, for that matter — back “home”?
