Sarah Palin Excluded from John McCain's Funeral.
2018-08-30
[Breitbart] Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, who was Sen. John McCain (R-AZ)’s running mate in the 2008 presidential election, has been excluded from his funeral.

Breitbart News has independently confirmed an earlier report in People magazine, which reported that Palin was not sent an invitation, and was told through intermediaries to stay away from the ceremony.

McCain fundraiser Carla Eudy confirmed to People that Palin had not been invited — possibly, People speculated, at the behest of the McCain family.

The news comes on the tenth anniversary of the date in 2008 when Palin was announced as McCain’s pick for Vice President.

Palin now joins President Donald Trump on the list of those barred from the funeral.

But unlike Trump, Palin never feuded with McCain and never criticized him.

#20  McCain proving he is a petty fuck head, even from beyond the grave. Enjoy Hell McCain, you deserve every bit of the damnation you are now enduring.

#19  McCain ran to lose, not to win. I think Palin added a lot of pizzazz to an otherwise lackluster campaign. She was more the fighter in the campaign than McCain.

the two had both built reputations as corruption-busting “maverick” leaders who were not afraid to buck their own parties.

At least maybe one of them. There is that Keating Five thing.

#18  I understand planning for the inevitable, especially when diagnoses with a terminal illness.

The whole picking of who can and who cannot attend stinks of junior high girl sleepover party planning.

#16  #7 yes. Many financed the revolution with their own resources. Congress was of very little help and thus the swamp was born.

#15  But Obama will be speaking. That's pretty much what we mean when we say RINO.

#14  I think the coverage of who was not invited is intended to distract from who actually does show up.

#13  Not inviting Palin shows, IMO how much of a vindictive PRICKS some can be. If not for Palin the jackass from AZ would had so many votes. again IMO. Certainly not mine.

#8  Lots of people were not invited but the media instead of pointing out the pettiness of McCain family not inviting Palin is just another example of media bias.

McCain once met with his captors yet could not forgive Palin for accepting his offer to run as VP. Being a Conservative Trump supporter is more of a crime than being a torturer..

#7  The man displayed sublime courage as a POW and should rightly be held up as an exemplar in that context

So was Benedict Arnold. Capture at Montreal, exchanged for King's men. Probably the key leader in the fight at Saratoga that as a consequence brought critical aid and recognition from the French. Not receiving the recognition that he believe he deserved, we know where his ego lead him.

"I wasn't invited to the McCain funeral either".

#4  ... and McCain was the god-father of the Establishment which he referred to reverently as the "Institution".

Being un-invited in this case is an honor and will vindicate Sarah for being briefly allied with this bitter old man and elevate her stature amongst the "Deplorables".

#2  ...I have managed to hold my tongue about John McCain so far, but it's getting pretty damned hard to continue doing so.

The man displayed sublime courage as a POW and should rightly be held up as an exemplar in that context - but his actions before and since leave a lot to be desired as a commissioned officer and politician. His family (wife's family, actually) has more than enough money to be considered 1%, and by excluding Governor Palin from the funeral his family is showing exactly what they think of the people that he claimed to be a part of.

#1  Honestly, who wouldn't rather be fishing ? If I may be brutally honest, he exhibited no class in life or in death. Surviving family members honoring the wishes of a bitter, brain addled old man...another classless act.
