#16 We have a Republican President, a "Republican" Congress and a Republican holding/controlling the majority of Governorships and state legislatures and yet nothing ever happens to these guys. Which tells us what about the GOP? |

#15 Someone needs to come up with a legitimate alternate search engine. Everyone I've tried was mediocre. Same with Facebook. Maybe the Koche brothers could stop fighting about the great wall of Mexico and invest some money where it will do some good. |

#13 News print is dying and digital also.I believe most of commercial media is dying as well. The consumer is not considered. Rather the consumer is ignored. Rush or Hannity are shining examples of delivering what the people want. They are thriving. |

#11 Starting the process of looking at google and social media as monopolies and emerging public utilities offers a menu for profit to two of the most merciless and rapacious elements of modern American society: politicians and lawyers. Even the most venal socialists among them cannot resist the scent of all that money on the hoof. Ma Bell stories will be dusted off in short order. The revolution always eats its own. |

#10 It might be interesting if, instead of regulating Google, the government set up a system whereby the various search engines are rated on their biases and/or impartiality. I mean, if Google wants to be a leftist shill corporation it is their right. But the people should also have a right to know that. |

#7 Google search is biased? I'm shocked. Google bought YouTube for $1.65 bil in 2006. Many conservatives who use Youtube have been screwed as well. Reports of demonitization, censorship of content, etc. |

#6 This is from a group that believes that "louder is more successful". They work by drowning out competing viewpoints. By the way, what product do they sell? Advertising. |

#5 ..maybe we can get the newly minted Trump judges to take that up. |

#4 Youtube is part of Google and engages in left-biased censorship. The burden of proof is on Google. BTW would a political bias in Google's search software count as an in kind contribution to the favored campaign? |

#3 I just tried Googling "Trump news". Most of it is opinion pieces by liberals, toned down from the usual hysterical rhetoric to damning him by faint praise or suggesting a bunch of negative "what-if" scenarios involving Trump. There are a few "Trump can't do anything about Google" pieces, too. Ask Ma Bell what that means. I also saw plenty of "there's no way Google is biased" pieces too, surely by known experts in the field and backed up by research (which they forgot to provide). |
