Bulk Of Clinton Emails On Weiner's Laptop Were Never Examined, Findings Were Never Reported |
2018-08-24 |
[HotAir] Real Clear Investigations has a blockbuster report focused on the investigation of Anthony Weiner’s laptop and the emails found on it just prior to the 2016 election. Contrary to what was claimed by then-Director James Comey in public, RCI found no real effort was made to look at nearly 700,000 emails found on the laptop. In all, only a few thousand were examined and when more classified information was found in those, it was never referred back to the intelligence community for a damage assessment as required by law. There are a lot of moving parts in this story but I’ll try to hit a few of the highlights. First, here’s what Comey claimed happened in the final weeks of the 2016 election: |

#5 Just like the seized Bin Laden Doc. treasure trove. Rope, tree and so on. Sigh, never going to happen. Unless we get a AG with enough balls to jail the huge number seditionists in the FBI, DOJ, CIA and NSA. Odds more likely to find Elvis on the Moon. |

#4 I am starting to think the easiest way for Trump to stop the special council shenanigans is to switch from Republican to Democrat. |

#3 I think everyone knew this when they examined them in a single weekend. They ran a filter of some kind (probably looked for keywords guilty, criminal, intent, caught, and evidence) and looked at the emails that resulted to make their decision. |

#2 Only 3,077 of the 694,000 emails were directly reviewed for classified or incriminating information. Wasn't it Peter Strzok who supervised the review of the 3,077 emails that were read? Were these the yoga emails that were reviewed in detail? Were the remaining emails (694,000 -3,077) ever read by the FBI or anyone in a serious investigation? This is the kind of stuff that makes the public livid. |

#1 he certified to Congress that his agency had “reviewed all of the communications” discovered on a personal laptop Can we get the same punishment for government officials that lie to Congress that DoJ gets for people who lie to the FBI? /rhet question |
