American Couple Dies Tragically While Biking Through ISIS Territory Trying to Prove Evil Does Not Exist
2018-08-17
[Daily Caller] An American couple decided to bicycle around the world in an attempt to prove evil does not exist. They chose to bicycle through ISIS territory and ISIS killed them.

Jay Austin and Lauren Geoghegan left their D.C. government jobs nearly two years ago to embark on a worldwide bike tour. The wide-eyed, optimistic couple kept track of their trips on a website where they posted stunning photos of their travels and whimsical musings on evil, the media and the goodness of people.

In one post, Austin ‐ who is a vegan ‐ said he worked for the Department of Housing and Urban Development during Obama’s presidency explained how he and his girlfriend were planning to bike around the world with hopes to meet "generous" and approachable people.

He did acknowledge that biking makes one more "vulnerable."

#28  get the 5 world rule,

I don’t know that one, 3dc. If you would be so kind as to explain?

#27  Inch and a quarter thick after cooking, done just right; no cut too rare or too done, even had some quality horseradish I didn't need.

Deserve? Well, from ISIS perspective they were flaunting their authority and right of rule. From mine, let's just say I spent some time recently in a bicycle heavy area. To quote Chris Rock, "But I understand."

#26  Actually parts of the Chi South Side and some neighborhoods I choose not to name get the 5 world rule,

#24  So I'm sitting down for lunch and check the news.

From half way around the world and beyond the grave, chuckles tells me 'oh by the way, I'm a vegan.' just as my wife sets a T-bone down in front of me.

#23  #11 They undoubtedly met horrific deaths. Torture, rape (both). They were foolish but didn't deserve to die for it.

hey were hit by a vehicle, then the perps came back and did the stabby work til they died

#22  I think in a very real way that because people like this are never held to any real account for the increasingly outrageous rhetoric and behavior domestically, they come to believe there are no consequences in the rest of the world. The Tuareg with the rifle isn't colorful, he's dangerous.

#21  We need a term for the Regressing World (Most of the Muslim World). 5th world?

That would be called the Stone Age.

#20  Trying to prove evil does not exist? Trying to prove a negative (Argumentum ad ignorantiam).

The Obama administration wasn't enough to prove the premise? Next, it will be said that it's Trump's fault.

#19  3dc, the term third world doesn't seem sufficient these days.

We have the developed world (1st world) the developing world (3rd world), failed states (4th world). We need a term for the Regressing World (Most of the Muslim World). 5th world?

#18  Have a friend that lectured me all night about how the US Military should stay out of other countries business, and we were bad, bla bla bla, read Seattle liberal... She went to Austria, then into Croatia in 1992. She came back screaming we should be helping people there, how dare we with all our might not step in and save these people. When she finally got to why we are not there I stood her in front of a mirror. She is a good woman, but the point is that liberalism, extreme like we are living through, not just being a democrat, but a being a leftie. This is a taught event, it is culturally pounded into their heads as an enlightened and elitist thing. Just like Andy Warhol supposedly knows art better than you and I, while all he does is put up a picture of a can of soup. Just maybe this couples family and friends will look at the world a little differently after this.

#16  Had the media reported that their killers reasoning for murdering the couple was that they were not muslim and American nationals maybe the snowflakes would learn something.

The news has been out for well over 200 years:
"The (Tripolitanian and thus Muslim) Ambassador answered us that it was founded on the Laws of their Prophet,1 that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Musselman who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise."

The murdered people were educated. They weren't ignorant they suffered from cognitive dissonance which made them deny obvious danger.

The same goes for the snowflakes who are still among us.

#14  These individuals could afford to pay their own way to their deaths. The rest of us don't pay enough taxes.

#13  "Had the media reported that their killers reasoning for murdering the couple was that they were not muslim and American nationals maybe the (rest of the) snowflakes would learn something."

^^This. Their naivete coupled with the media's willful camouflaging of the ROW and how it works results in idiots like this dying horribly far from home. I do not / did not wish the naive idiots ill. Neither will I think about them a moment longer.

#12   maybe the snowflakes would learn something.

Nope, not gonna happen. Some people die through happenstance and those are usually tragic, some die through the foreseeable results of their own ignorance. These aren't usually tragic but can be ironic or even schadenfreudolicious.

I don't have any compassion left for people that refuse to consider cause and effect. Choices have consequences and bad choices ( he chose poorly) can have bad consequences.

#11  They undoubtedly met horrific deaths. Torture, rape (both). They were foolish but didn't deserve to die for it.
But to the point others have made. There are a lot of people out there who will kill you because you are an American. The press sugar coated their murders and they died in vain. Had the media reported that their killers reasoning for murdering the couple was that they were not muslim and American nationals maybe the snowflakes would learn something.

#10  I was thinking of going there for a trip. The travel guide told me that it was quite safe and that many of his clients had gone there. I found this story that has a ring of truth to it. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/millenial-couple-isis-tajikistan/

#8  I'd bet those two absolute fools had two VERY prestigeous credentials from whackademia.

Thye obviously chose jobs where they didnt have to face how the real world worked.

Curious that those sinecurists in the extortion funded sector thought all the world was as reciprocal as the west is!

#6  I keep seeing all well meaning first world idiots of any persuasion getting into trouble in the 3rd or 4th world because they are too sheltered or blinded to understand how completely awful 3rd world sh*tholes really are and why some of us in the 1st world actually call them that even though it is PC-incorrect to ever state such obvious facts.
