Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The Yemeni government has accused the Houthis of having ties to the Iranian government, which wouldn't suprise most of us. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. province of al-Bayda.

According to the Yemeni Ministry of Defense, their national army killed 30 members of the Houthi forces, while also seizing the Fadha area in the al-Malajim District.

The national army restarted their military operations in the al-Bayda Governorate after suffering heavy losses during their first attacks on the Houthi forces near the bustling provincial capital.

Despite their setbacks earlier this week, the national army is once again trying to cut the Houthi supply line to the bustling provincial capital of al-Bayda.

If the Yemeni national army is successful in cutting this supply line, they could ultimately leave the Houthi forces at a disadvantage in the southern part of the country.
