[DallasNews] A Dallas man was arrested last week after police say he parked illegally near Trinity Groves and then introduced the arresting officer to his 15-year-old wife.

Jose Nahun Lopez-Cruz, 24, assured the cop, "It's OK, she is gonna be 16 soon," police records say.

It wasn't OK, and Lopez-Cruz was booked Sunday into the Dallas County jail, charged with sexual assault of a child.

Lopez was charged with the sex crime and drug possession. He's also suspected of being in the country illegally.

He remains in the Dallas County Jail with bail set at $25,500.

#4 to provide perspective, it was only within the past few years that Hawai'i raised the age of consent all the way up to 16... accompanied by much wailing and gnashing of teeth from certain local communities who claimed cultural imperialism was at work.

#3 To be fair, he lied about the wife bit. From the article, which needs to be read in its entirety for the enormity of his itter unfittingness to be north of the border to be properly appreciated:
