Former Mueller FBI Appointee, CIA Official Calls for ‘Shadow Government' to Oppose Trump
2018-07-18
[Townhall] Amid CNN’s blitz of savage anti-Trump coverage following Monday’s Helsinki summit, CNN counterterrorism analyst Philip Mudd, a former top analyst at the CIA and the FBI National Security Branch’s first Deputy Director, called on a "shadow government" to openly oppose the Trump administration.

Mudd, who was appointed to his position at the FBI by the bureau’s then-Director Robert Mueller, made these comments in response to a question from CNN anchor Anderson Cooper about whether Mudd agreed with Senator McCain’s assessment that Trump’s performance in Helsinki was the "most disgraceful display...by an American president on the world stage." #8  President Donald Trump signed three executive orders designed to enforce merit-system principals in the civil service and to improve efficiency, transparency, and accountability in the federal government. According to reports, the executive orders are expected to make civil service more accountable and are supposed to benefit taxpayers and federal workers alike.

I guess fed employees don't want efficiency, accountability and transparency?

#7  Just chop those GS-13 and above to 'you sit at the convenience of the President'. The GS-4s through GS-12 don't have to get their skivvies in a bunch.
BTW, has anyone seen a permanent GS-1 or GS-2 anywhere?

#6  Only take a majority in Congress to repeal the Civil Service Act. Sort of removes the basis of 'Shadow Government'.

Likely to never happen. Front-loading with entitlement class employees ensures continuation. A sort of.....insurance policy.
