#20  Cook up as in popcorn? T.W., I've been running out of popcorn far too often lately.

#19  The whole thing isfascinating to watch. What spurious explanation will they cook up next?

#18  The Rantburg "Luckiest Man Alive" award must surely go to pilot of that Greenpeace motorized parachute. You have to know the Secret Service had a MANPAD or a dozen MP5's trained on him.

#17  But what is the "Whoa?" for I'm not really getting the significance?

#16  The RNC was similarly targeted by their network security was better.

#15  I think it would be hilarious if attorneys presented themselves as the defense for the twelve accused GRU operatives. Then what, Rosy? Libel? Slander? The charges clearly demand proof. Discovery? More opportunities for the FBI and DOJ to withhold crucial information? The mind reels. Not that I think the GRU guys are innocent or anything like it, just that they may be smart enough to turn it around on Rosy. I have no confidence in Rosy and his ilk, I think they are dirty traitors, and would love to see this whole mess stuffed up their butts.

#14  Timing was curious.

Certainly was 'curious.' Pres. Trump is in office just under 600 days and on the eve of his first trip to see Vlad, DOJ Roesenstein indicts a dozen Russians ?

I believe the term 'turd splash in punch bowl' might be appropriate.
Posted by: Besoeker   2018-07-14 12:02

#13  IMHO Rosenstein indicted these 12 Russians to try put a speed bump in the road of any serious investigation. These 12, like the first 13, will not be likely to show up in any U.S. court. Mueller saves face and can say "it really was the Russians" but we can't do anything about it. Rosenstein said no Americans were involved and the Russian meddling had no impact on the elections.

What if Russian attorneys do show up in court asking for all indictment and investigative info? How does Seth Rich fit into the DNC "hacks"? The Awans were already tied into House Dem and most likely DNC computers. Seems like Dems/deep staters are starting to sweat a bit. Timing was curious.

#12  Once the "Russian" hacking was discovered, perhaps the Clinton Campaign provided a useful conduit for selected streams of disinformation

Something bothers me about this sentence.

#11  Now, Bernie....

#10  BUSTED! (The DNC, that is.) Not, Bernie Sanders doesn't mind. He's a millionaire for the second consecutive year. He got his dough.

#9  The indictments were for "hacking" the DNC machines, not Hillary's illegal email server. Whoever "connected" these dots is missing a few screws.

"DNC machines"...exactly corrrect. Clinton's illegal server(s) would have provided a 'safe' communications venue. Number 6 is a hypothetical, lose screws and all.

#7  They provided evidence that it appears the Russians hacked the Clinton Campaign. Interesting word, appears. Does that mean there is no solid evidence?

#6  They provided evidence that it appears the Russians hacked the Clinton Campaign but I suspect Brennan and his goons as the real hackers.

Once the "Russian" hacking was discovered, perhaps the Clinton Campaign provided a useful conduit for selected streams of disinformation. Of course 'homebrew' systems and providers (Platte River Networks for example) would be utilized for more senior level communications.

Susan Rice could assist with 'standing down' of any investigations which might lead to an untimely discovery. She did fine work with the Sunday Networks.

Once this business is over, they'll obviously need to drop a few indictments of.... real Russian hackers. Timing in this phase is quite important. Just prior to an administration trip to Russia would be ideal.
