2018-06-26
[ALMASDARNEWS] The US-led coalition has reportedly airlifted two senior ISIS commanders from a small village in northeast Syria near the Iraqi borders in coordination with its Kurdish allies controlling the area.

According to local sources, two helicopters of the US coalition landed in Twimin village in order to transport two senior commanders from the Islamic State

The sources said that the operation was carried out in full coordination with the Syrian Democratic Forces since no festivities were reported.

US Arclight airstrikes on eastern Syria has so far massacred hundreds of innocent civilians ‐ mostly women and kiddies ‐ in the pretext of fighting ISIS.

This month, up to 68 civilians have been killed and injured in several US airstrikes across villages and towns in eastern Syria.

The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) said evacuating ISIS elements comes under the blatant US support for the terror group which aims at prolonging the war in Syria.

#7  ^ 6. There is a story I've heard about Green Berets in Vietnam taking prisoners up in helicopters to ask them questions.

#6  There's really no way to tell. The Medes and the Persians and the Syrians periodically release stories implicating the U.S. with ISIS, al-Qaeda, and God knows what else. My guesses, in order of likelihood:

1. It never happened
2. They were airlifting someone else and al-Masdar decided it had to be ISIS because who else would the U.S. be airlifting?
3. Could be negotiators (i.e., surrender, theirs not ours)
4. Could be high value prisoners
5. Come up with your own guess

#4  I have noted before on Rantburg that Al Masdar is entirely unbelievable and serves as a propaganda outlet for its Shia backers.
