| Fortress of Peace was a short film about the defensive capabilities of Switzerland in the 60s. It was nominated for an Oscar in 1965. Great visuals. |

| This film is great. It has everything. At one point near the end they show just about every weapon in the Swiss armory being used, from rifle grenades to aerial bombs. They don't make 'em like this any more. |

| #2 I pretty well decided no one in their right mind would screw with the Swiss when I was driving down a back road and saw an APC parked in some farmer's barn. Most of their equipment is very decentralized and almost anyone with a pulse has a uniform and a rifle in their closet. Saw some girls on bicycles with rifles slung across their backs riding down the road. |

| #1 Even Atilla the Hun avoided Switzerland and went another way. The Nazi Germans calculated they would lose over twenty Divisions trying to even threaten Switzerland. And just get laughed at for attempting the effort. The Kentucky Long Rifle was originally a Swiss JAGER rifled Musket, adapted to American tastes. S'truth. |
