#6 Interesting, Kerosene was suggested by Robert Zubrin as getting almost as much bang for the buck but being far easier when it comes to handling but super-cooling it probably undoes any handling advantages. |

#4 They use right now RP-1 (kereosene) and LOX. They super chill the propellant and oxidizer to make them more dense so more in the same size tank. Since they use composite tanks one of them ruptured doing fueling for a static test some time ago. I assume they fixed the problem. The BFR will use LNG for fuel and LOX as oxidizer. |

#3 What propellant do they use? Nasa has used liquid hydrogen for some time and that's super-cold. |
