| Diyala (Iraqinews.com) ‐ A SWAT officer was killed while another was injured in a dual kaboom in the eastern governorate of Diyala, an Iraqi provincial officer was quoted as saying. Speaking to Alghad Press on Tuesday, Awwad al-Rabei, the head of Abu Saida’s security committee, said, "Two explosive charges went off sequentially while a police vehicle was passing by al-Mokhisa village on the outskirts of Abu Saida district in Diyala." "According to preliminary reports, the bombings left a SWAT officer killed and another injured," al-Rabei pointed out. Ambulances rushed to the blast site and carried the body to the forensic medicine officer, while the injured was moved to hospital for treatment, he added. |
